Ranch Cutter

Ranch Cutter built on a modified Buster Welch style tree.  Hermann Oak leather.  This tree has roper bars in it instead of the smaller cutting bars.  Do a little cutting, ride a colt or just enjoy the ride.  It is also a great saddle for team penning and ranch sorting.  Has a little extra rise in the seat than the regular cutter seat.  13" swells, 3 1/2" cantle with a 1 1/2" Cheyenne roll.  This saddle is also popular with the Working Cow Horse people.  3 1/2" deep drop stainless dees in front, 3" dees in back.  Gullet height is 8".  This particular saddle has Wyoming flower on the swells, cantle and back jockey with a floral border on the skirts.  The seat is a hard seat, not padded.  We just put a piece of slick buckskin colored leather on top of the regular hard seat for looks.  Comes with matching back cinch and latigo tie straps.

Base Price $2250

It's me, Paige from Albuquerque, NM.  I cannot tell you enough how thrilled I am with the custom saddle you and Paul helped create for me.  I've had numerous custom saddles over the years and while I've always taken my time to communicate my needs and those of my horses, somehow the saddles—although beautiful---were always a "off" either in the seat fitting for me or a misfit for my horses.  I've continued to search over the years for saddle after saddle.  Well, the search had ended.  Words cannot express not only how beautiful the saddle is but how perfectly it fits me and my horses.  It has a wonderful seat and a comfortable close contact.  Thank you so much for all the details you allowed me to share with you as we went back and forth building this saddle. I've always been a believer that one cannot master just the skill of saddle making without truly understanding the art of riding as well.  Many saddle makers don't really have a lifestyle amid horses and therefore cannot truly perfect how to fit a saddle to both the person and the horse; but you all have definitely succeeded in that.  And I so glad our paths crossed.  Thanks again…oh and now that my husband has seen the saddle in person, he is extremely excited about the cutting saddle you are going to custom build for him.  Take care and many thanks.
